Rachel Carter believes that healing occurs through deep human connection with an open heart and a curious mind. Her approach acknowledges that healing is magical and cannot be forced. She sets aside her ego, making no promises regarding outcomes, nor does she attempt to fix, give advice, or psychologize. Instead, she commits to seeing clients in their wholeness and acting as a loving, neutral witness, enabling transformation by drawing power from their strengths and connection with a higher power.
As a veteran licensed massage therapist and Upledger trained and certified Craniosacral Therapist, Rachel has also developed a mind-body modality called Mindwalking. Craniosacral Therapy begins with attention to the cranial rhythm—a fluctuating tide driven by the creation and reabsorption of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain's ventricles. This foundational rhythm, the first to appear after conception and the last to leave after clinical death, unites the spiritual world with the physical body and has the power to transform physical, spiritual, and emotional wounds.
Mindwalking extends craniosacral therapy by giving the cranial rhythm a voice, connecting the practitioner's consciousness with the client's and guiding safe exploration of the client's metaphors, imagery, movement patterns, and personal pathways to healing. This reflective, client-driven process models safe human connection for nervous systems recovering from relational trauma.
